I have a very special friend whom I consider my "kindred" friend.
Her name is Stephanie and as if she wasnt special enough already..she has written an amazing book about her dear grandfather and the life he lived and legacy he left.

It is very touching, and I found myself in tears many times just reading this wonderful story of a life well-lived,
and a testimony of Gods love lived out through one solitary mans life.
I wish I had met him, but through Stephanies written remembrance of him, I feel I have.

Fireside Chat

Its "fireside chat" day!

Hope your day was lovely...I actually worked today then came home and had supper with my husband and son

and then had a nap that lasted up until now (which is bed-time anyway lol)

I wanted to share something with you..

On one of the lovely blogs I found when I first began this wonderful world of blog fellowship

I spotted a gorgeous camera strap, and I was tickled pink at the thought of having my own unique camera strap!!

I first fell in love with the strap on Kates camera from Chronicles of a Country Girl (blog).

I asked her all about it and she so graciously let me know that that vendor on etsy wasnt selling them anymore; but she let me know that another vendor called Boneca Linda

sells straps too..and she highly recommends her for the quality and service

So I have a few in mind but havent decided for sure which one Ill buy!! lol

These next four are from Boneca Linda and I like them and have had my eye on them for a bit..they are all very nice....but which one will suit me best? lol

As I continued to google I came across Shey B and her camera straps and my-my-my I found

the most unique strap

and the colour I fell in love with!

Turquoise!!!

But it was out of stock!! :(

Hopefully it will return!!

Ill show you a few from her collection, beginning with the beloved turquoise one, and then a gorgeous flowered one..see what you think!

and heres what I liked there..

So, as you can see, I've got a lot to choose from, which sometimes makes the deciding even more difficult and time-consuming lol

Father....
a name that speaks of love,
a safe place,
a friend and confidant,
strong yet gentle and tender-hearted,
always a welcoming smile,

head of the family..
My Father...the first man I ever fell in love with...
my friend, forever and always.
His unconditional love reminds me of my heavenly Fathers love..
because of the love you poured out on me and into my life

I can so easily run into the safe and loving eternal arms of my heavenly Father.

Gentle Evening

Ive spent a lovely evening in a quiet place....
listening to music and inspiring songs..
and cuddled a puppy while doing all of the above...

And now its time for a nice warm shower and rest for the night.
