Planning something wonderful and what I've been up to today

I woke up this morning

to the sunshine

arising in my heart.. :)

Even though it seems early

to be pondering such things..

It's time to begin

planning for our

summer holidays!

I say this with much

e x c i t e m e n t

because

summer is my most

favourite

season of all...

When everything is

blooming

and so alive

and practically shouting out

Life is beautiful,

embrace every moment of it!!!

The greens

and

earthy colours

bring such

warmth and delight

to this

gal

who is

absolutely,

irreversibly,

overwhelmingly

in love

 with

the

COUNTRY

unashameably so!!

:)

What better time to

steal away

with my husband..

rescue him

from his workload.

Being self-employed, he carries

the full load..

I love this photo of him....

and yes..

those are my arms

 wrapped around his neck...:)

it was just a better shot of him than me.. lol

Since we always go

in the summertime

we celebrate our anniversary

while we're there.

This was a dessert

that our favourite restaurant in

Stratford, Ontario

surprised us with

on our

anniversary.

It was delish!

I love every

part

of the

journey..

the planning,

arranging our schedules,

searching for b & b's online,

and

then

theres

the

ANTICIPATION

that will take me right through

to the actual leaving date!!

I love the cute little

cafes

My husband

especially

loves

the

farmers markets..

~

I love

all the little

opportunities

to just

relax

and have

quiet times

together

To

be still

and

see with renewed eyes

the

beauty

of

creation

And to do fun,

silly things

together,

like ride a little kiddie-train

like this one which was

at one of the parks

and waterfront areas

where we stopped

to relax

on our journey..

Making

memories

of

us...

Im so looking forward to

holidays

and

summer

and

this

beautiful

orchard

that we visit every summer...

Well

tonight

 our tummies are full

from

turkey dinner,

and

I'm back at

finishing the clear coat

on my

new rustic desk

my hubby

built for me..

True Love

It was a day

just like any other day

on the morn of Christmas Eve..

I set my feet into

a new shop

which I had been longing to visit,

and now I was here,

for the first time...

Little did I know that day

that once again,

He had ordered my steps

in a way

that

was

gentle

yet

powerful...

So much so,

that it nearly

took my breath away...

Come with me

and I'll show you

what I saw that day

and

what He spoke to me,

 even into

the

depths

of my heart

*

His voice

is like

thunder

yet

gentle

as a dove..

Haven't I always wanted to know

true love?

That morn He stood before

me in my spirit

and asked me..

Would you know true love, Deborah?

True love begins....

when nothing is looked for in return.

A life-long lesson

He's been teaching me,

growing in me,

when I allowed Him

to plant the seed of love

in my heart...

years and years ago,

through a book He led me to

called

"Hinds feet on High Places".

God touched me so deeply through this book,

this journey...I can't even describe how much,

and once again

on that morn

He reminded me afresh

of what

true love is...

when I most needed to hear it again.

And in my brokenness

I'm forever grateful..

I bought the beautiful picture

as a constant reminder

of

true love

and it will be my signpost,

for this year.

Jesus, I want to know true love...

"The Shepherd put His hand in His bosom, drew something forth, and laid it in the palm of His hand. Then He held His hand out toward Much-Afraid. "Here is the seed of Love," He said.

She bent forward to look, then gave a startled little cry and drew back. There was indeed a seed lying in the palm of His hand, but it was shaped exactly like a long sharply-pointed thorn...

"The seed looks very sharp," she said shrinkingly. "Won't it hurt if you put it into my heart?" He answered gently, "It is so sharp that it slips in very quickly. I have already warned you that Love and Pain go together, for a time at least. If you would know Love, you must know pain too." Much-Afraid looked at the thorn and shrank from it. Then she looked at the Shepherd's face and repeated His words to herself. "When the seed of Love in your heart is ready to bloom, you will be loved in return," and a strange new courage entered into her. She suddenly stepped forward, bared her heart, and said, "Please plant the seed here in my heart." His face lit up with a glad smile and He said with a note of joy in His voice, "Now you will be able to go with Me to the High Places and be a citizen in the Kingdom of My Father." Then He pressed the thorn in her heart."
