Farewells & Greetings

Life seems to have many Farewells...
and many Greetings..
                  ~
Almost always they
are emotional..
and tug at our heartstrings
                  ~
Most often the farewells & greetings are in relationships..
and through the seasons of our lives..
The older I become the more I realize this truth
                  ~
But even in the actual seasons
I find Farewell difficult
and not without sadness...
                   ~
Even though something has ended...
                                                                                                          something new...
                                                                                                           a new season
                                                                                                            is springing up..
                                                                                                                             ~
And I will embrace the new..
in its freshness and in its own beauty
                                                                                                                             ~
And I will be grateful for having loved
                                                                                                           and lived fully,
                                                                                                            experiencing growth
                                                                                                            in every season
                                                                                                            of this life
                                                                                                                              ~

May the sweetest blessings be yours this new season
in each of your lives...

With all my heart...Deborah xoxo

In love with Shabby...

Me and Shabby..
We got a thing going on...

We meet everyday at the same cafe
Six thirty and know one knows she'll be there
Holding hands, making all kinds of plans
While the jukebox plays our favourite song..

Me and Shabby Chic, Shabby Chic, Shabby Chic
We got a thing going on
and we both know that its wrong (well not really :) )
But its much too strong to let it go now

We gotta be extra careful
That we dont build our hopes up too high
"Cause shes got her own obligations
and so do I..
~

~
I have to tell you
Im madly in love with Shabby
everything about her..
I could gaze at her all day if I'd let myself,
her pearly whites,
and the rough around the edges parts..
make me love her even more..
her age is stunning,
her style impeccable..
and the way she makes your heart skip a beat when you walk into a room!
Oh yes..Shabby I got a thing for you...
and you've got me dreaming
even throughout the day
~

With all my heart..Deborah xo

P.S. Im off to spend some time with Shabby ..wink :)
These beautiful rooms are not mine..but they give me great inspiration..appears there are others in love with Shabby  :)
my dear friend Sandy from "Paint me White"
inspires me sooooooooooo! Above are some of her gorgeous rooms..
Go ahead and dream and drool..I am!

Making memories of us...

Even though...
my baby-girl and I are
mother & daughter...
*
we also
have a friendship...
thats sweet and real...
and our hearts are ..
forever entwined...
and I love her so...
*

Shes fun,
fabulous
and fashionable..
*
and she loves to play with her hair,
and she played with mine this weekend..
She gave me some "big hair"
as I call it..
and it was fun...
although....
My sons not crazy about the "big hair' stuff
especially when Im meeting his new sweet girl
*
And Steve, Adams brother... isnt bothered by big hair...
*

And "Friday" doesnt mind cus she's got a "big tummy"
so "big hair" is just fine with her..
and no ..shes not with kittens..
shes just big in the mid-section  :)
*
So that said...
we had a great weekend...
heres looking out the window from Adam & Steves house...
We made memories....
relaxing together,

shopping together...

this is a twisty new hi-rise
that we've been waiting to see
in its completion

And of course..
while we were enroute to the mall..
my daughter had to get a shot of this company..
with her name.. Cara  :)

And most of all..
our best memories are..
just enjoying the love of family,
and being together..
*
Home Sweet Home
is
wherever the ones you love and who love you
 are...
*

With all my heart..Deborah xo
(my "big hair" is loosing its oomph..lol)
