Christmas trees and cranberries

O Christmas tree,
O Christmas tree....
how lovely are thy branches..
~

*

Decorating

 can sure be simple

and inexpensive...I used

 a foam christmas tree and

 glue gunned packaged spanish moss

to it starting from the bottom and working my way

 up to the top and then glued a little christmas bell on top
~
~

To my rock-based
lantern
I simply added
fresh cranberries
and
a white candle
for
a
festive look
~

Added a little
fresh greenery
to my mantel,
lit
the candles
and...

Its beginning
to look alot
like
Christmas....

Enjoy your weekend friends... xoxo

The Love of Christmas and Traditions

Traditionally
during this season
my family
likes to
bundle up together
and get in the car,
grab a hot drink
and
go up to
Airport Hill
and
gaze at all
the
Christmas lights!!!
~

Little Women
is my
most
favourite
Christmas movie..

The
love
they share
as a family
warms
my
 heart.
~

It is always
a
must-see
for
one of
my
Christmas
traditions
~

Hot
drinks
on
cold
nights...
like
apple cider
and
a
cinnamon stick
make
the night
cozy
and
bright
~

Don't you just adore this season?!
What are some of your favourite traditions
at this precious time of year?  :)

Let every heart prepare Him room

First Sunday in Advent
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Prophecy Candle
Isaiah 7:14
"Therefore the Lord Himself
will give you a sign:
Behold, a virgin will be with child
and bear a son,
and she will call His name
Immanuel"
~
Isaiah 9:6-7
"For a child will be born to us,
a son will be given to us;
and the government will rest upon His shoulders;
and His name will be called
Wonderful  Counselor,
Mighty God,
Eternal Father,
Prince of Peace.
There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and righteousness
from then on and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts
will accomplish this."
~
Luke 1:30-35
"And the angel said to her,
"Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favour with God.
And behold, you will conceive in your womb,
and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High;
and the Lord God
will give Him the throne
of His father David;
and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever;
and His kingdom will have no end.
And Mary said to the angel,
How can this be, since I am a virgin?
And the angel answered and said to her,
The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the Most High
will overshadow you;
and for that reason the holy offspring
shall be called
the Son of God.
