Roses are red...and pink too!

Roses are red
pink!

Hello everyone!
How is your mid-week ? :)
It'll soon be the weekend again, but in the meantime
I am busy with one of my passions.
I've had my eye out on the gaze for a pair of curtains for our dining room.
I was considering vintage sheets,
but I happened to find some actual curtains;
and that works too! Lol

I found them at our "Value Village" store.
$15.00 isn't bad for a pair of vintage rose curtains!
The photos don't quite do the actual colour justice.
They are so pretty.
I knew they were too short for my window, but........
I could see they were hemmed and there seemed to be enough hem to spare.

They were hemmed and doubled over twice; but nothing my seam ripper couldn't fix.
All I have to do is make a new hem.

I love the softness roses bring to a room.
My dining room feels like a breath of summer now.

My armoire will be painted "Old White" at some point this summer.
I had already painted my benches and legs on our table white,
but I'm leaning on the "Old White" more.
I think it will all look beautiful together.
I think I will find another spot for the red dried roses,
and bring in some pink or cream ones.

The nice thing about curtains is...
that you can always change them up for the seasons
 to freshen up any room.
And....it gives another opportunity to decorate!

Love & hugs to you all xo

All my heart,
Deborah xo

My Little Flower Garden

Hello friends!
It's  summer  in my world
and I am enjoying every ray & drop of it!
We've had a fair bit of rain this summer...but this week is looking good!
Yeah!
My hydrangea is looking good...little flowers are showing off now and I'm so happy about it!
I've wanted one for a long time!
I planted 4 peony plants...one had already started with its leaves,
but the other 3 are just under the ground as of yet.

The blooms from this type of hydrangea
turn a beautiful lime colour and pink and white.
They are the Peegee Hydrangea.
My momma has this kind of hydrangea in their back yard
and I have loved it for soooooooooo long.
She has been giving me them to dry every end of season.
(This is what they will look like in full bloom!)
*these are from Momma's garden

I've also planted 4 lavender plants,
and the little blooms are appearing.
Love the fragrance of lavender.

They're like my little babies....
:)
So proud of them!

Look at them....those baby blues (purple blues) lol

My pretty shabby shed is being enjoyed.
A quiet place to sit , read, pray, ponder, dream and enjoy.
Awwwww...summer.
I can't say enough about how welcome you are!

All my heart,
Deborah xo
