Good morning!!
It's a gorgeous day here
and I can hear the call
of the country...
One more week and we will be travelling
to the country
where this heart
embraces the beauty of luscious green fields,
wire fences,
and backdrops of blue, blue skies.
My heart will be opened up once again
to the most beautiful places
in the world to me.
When we travel and we drive down these country roads
my heart literally leaps over the fences
and dances in fields of green and gold.
I kid you not..
only God alone knows just how much I adore the country
and every blade of grass
and every buttercup.
I'm beginning today
with deciding what to pack.
And its not even that its about what to wear;
because honestly,
I'm a girl with a small wardrobe.
I'm happy with just jeans and a comfy top.
Its just that even the preparation
brings it that much closer!
I can't even tell you how much I adore
the wardrobe of the fields.
My Best Friend asks me to
"Consider how the lilies of the field grow,
they don't toil or spin,
and not even Solomon in all his glory
clothed himself like one of these".
How true....He is so wise.
In His simplicity,
He is profound.
The country takes my hand
and brings me back to the place my heart calls home.
Back to the truth,
of Who He is,
and who I am in Him.
The reality and the beauty of His shepherding me
comes alive here..
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul...
I not only come away to the country..
but I
come away
with my Beloved.
When I return here to the country,
I taste the wine
of
His sweet love.
He kisses me with the kisses of His mouth,
for His love is better than wine.
Here in the quiet,
it is easy to hear Him.
And even though I hear Him in the everyday,
I cherish
the
quiet times,
the
You and me,
"alone together in our hearts"
times.
And I can hear You say
Come away, My beloved..
and
I answer
I come!!
And He's always waiting,
longing...
for us..
for you
