Baskets of Wishes

I'm pretty much
in love
with
baskets...

Some just ooze
of
romance...
like the one above

ooh attached to a bicycle..
a basket
overflowing with
fresh flowers
is
the beauty of
french
countryside...
~sigh~

Or a quiet afternnon
with
a
sweetheart
and
a
basket
full of
fresh fruits,
cheeses,
and a
crusty
baguette

Or for so
beautifully
storing our favourite
magazines
at arms-length..
ready for us to
sit and dream
while
relaxing on the sofa

Or for
displaying
our
much-loved treasures

while
in themselves

beautiful just as they are..

so practical
yet
simply lovely

No office
need be
without one
or two...

An entryway
holding
necessities..
ready
as you
head
out-the-door

How about
a basket
for books,
plants,
and your own
unique findings

A pretty home
for
your
 afghans,
personal journal
and/or
devotionals

or to even hold
sweet memories
from
your children
that you cant bear to part with...

Why not
carry
your
precious baby
in one?  :)

Or if you're
past that stage
why not
carry
your
four-legged
baby
in one?!

Now thats what I call
a

Basket of Wishes!!!  :)

How about you...do you have a "crush"
on baskets?

Celebrations of the heart

Yesterday afternoon found me
in the kitchen

whipping up
a
favourite
dessert
for my son...

This cheesecake..
blueberry this time,
( my momma has been using this recipe for years)
is a
favourite
with my children..

and is especially
requested
on their
birthday...

Its my sons birthday
(today actually..we celebrated yesterday because he has plans with his hunny, Terra for today)
and let me tell you...
 he is a
gift from God...

We waited ..after our first precious son, Adam was born...hoping for another child
for 4 years..
and when I finally was pregnant and didnt even know it yet...
I thought I was feeling sick
because of something I had eaten that day... :)
The flu?
Nope....expecting a baby..
whom we named
Ryan, Joshua

We had already picked out a girl & boys name
but when he was born..
I found his name didnt suit him..
Doesnt that sound crazy?!
I loved the name though..it was Brandon...
but it just didnt seem like he was a "Brandon"
so for one week he went without a name...

We chose Ryan which means "little king"
and
Joshua which means "God saved"

Isnt he a little darlin'?!

He was only 4 lbs 1oz.
when he was
delivered by ceasarian section
and
into our arms
(when I awoke of course) :)

Tiny bundle,
strong-willed - yes :)
and
beautiful.
He is now 5' 11"..
sure grew up..even taller than our oldest son!
a n d
He gives the best hugs ever!!!

Willow thinks he does too... :)

and me too!!!!
I love him so much
and am so proud of him...

Ryan makes my life so much sweeter,
and brings much joy
to my
heart

Ahh God blesses me so...
I'm celebrating the life of my son
that God so lovingly gave
28 years ago today...

A Taste of Comfort on a winters day

Comfort food
on
a
cold, cold
winters day.

Don't you just
love
cooking with a crock-pot?!

I call it my "maid"

I love coming home from
work and
shes (my crock-pot)
got supper ready :)

Of course,
you know I
give her a hand..

She
 cant do it all herself....

so I chip in and do my part

like with this meal
I'm making
home-made
tea biscuits
which I love
(and so do my thighs unfortunately)  :s

Now come on...
you knew this was coming ...lol

I just cant get enough
of
H E A R T S

Have you ever made
a
tea biscuit
in the shape of a
heart ?

It tastes like
a
lot of love!!
lol  (I couldnt resist...you caught me in a silly mood! )  :)

My hubby grabbed the
only
heart one I made
and I had to get him to put it back
on the cookie sheet
just to get the picture!

Guess he wanted
the one
made with  l o v e
lol

I put them in my
heart bread basket

and
get ready
cus

Suppers served...

Baked beans & biscuits
with
a good portion
of
L O V E
:)

Did I mention
I
love
crock-pot
cooking?! :)

Whats your favourite crock-pot dish?

With all my heart...Deborah xo

Come and dream with me...

What if I told you
I was thinkin'
seaside
and
white sandy beaches

and beautiful starfish

and
 awe-inspiring
sand dollars
washing up on shore

feeling the sand
in between my toes again
(these are my very own tootsies lol )

and
sipping
on my favourite summer drink
of limeade

then
rolling over
for
just a wee bit
more of the sunshine

Lets go
have the light snack
I prepared for us..

Ahh I'm sleepy...
a nap?
Oh I'd love that
before we go on our little tour!

Im up here my friend...
I got up from my nap
and decided to look out
for our ride from up here
I'll be right down!

Oh here they are waiting for us!
Our ride is here..
Lets go!!!!

Oh my dear...
were we really up in the air
that long?!
Look at that sunset...
what a wonderful day spent under the sun...

What?!
Whats that sound?!!!
Oh no..
you mean..
I was only dreaming?!

Im going back
to sleep... :)

Just dreamin'..
Are you?

With all my heart...Deborah xo
