~Celebrating my precious Father~

                              Im so grateful for the sweet Father I've been given...

I spent the afternoon and evening enjoying him and my sweet Momma and family and friends...

could there be any sweeter way to spend a day?

                            Lawn games and laughter among brother-in-laws

This is actually such a fun game!

My daughter on the left and her cousin who is due for her first baby in a couple of days..

enjoying the celebration for my Dad

and just enjoying being silly together

                                     My sister and her hubby have a great home & backyard for entertaining
                                     and they are so gracious about having family get-togethers here
                                     I love her yard and love her flowers and love her kindness
                                                                                    *

                                      This was a perogie casserole which was yummy, yummy in the tummy...
                                                                                          *

                                   Refreshing salads..coleslaw, a summer broccoli salad, and some devilled eggs
                                   and veggie platter with dip
                                                                                       *

Desserts were little angel food cakes with whipped topping, my raspberry sauce drizzled over the top and fresh berries on top...mmmmmmmmmmm

And a luscious key-lime pie....it was soooooo summery-good!!!

Lots of laughter, and fun between cousins and sisters

*

                             This is my oldest brother, my three sisters and me, and my Mom & Dad...
My younger brother was out of town celebrating too..his sons graduation..missed having him with us..
                                                                                 *
  But most of all Im celebrating the life of the most special, sweet, loving man
                                who is my father, my Dad, my friend and a loving example of a life well-lived
                                                                                 *
                                    I love my Dad....and my heavenly Father Who gave him as a gift to me
                                    and my family....
                                                                                 *

Tuesday tea with my bumblebees

Its summer and I thought I'd bring out my romantic little bumblebee set

that my hunny surprised me with a few years back

It even has a cookie jar which is on the right of the photo

and which is filled with home-made banana oatmeal date cookies

Wont you join me for some licorice-spice tea and some cookies?

A lovely day for enjoying the sunshine

and summer days

Im dreaming of some summer projects

of which if I even get one or two accomplished Ill be grateful for!

I really want to paint our living room..

I finally found a colour I love,

but Im hoping to compliment it with a second colour .

All inspired by a pillow I purchased out of town a few years ago..  :)

*

And we're hoping to put in a new wood floor in the living room as well..

my hunny will cut the boards and do it all himself..

What I'm trying to decide is whether to white-wash them or not..

something to think about while I'm waiting   :)

*

In the meantime Ill be enjoying the summer

each and every day of it..

my very favourite time of year..

and before I know it..

it'll be time for holidays!!
