Quilts and other comforts

Thoughts of snuggling with a cozy throw....

This colour would be my choice..so soft and coastal...

Cosied up with a pillow decorated with oh-so-lovely lavender..

lavender is spelled   r o m a n c e  to me..

The texture of these quilts makes me ooh-and-awe...

Now we're talking comfort...a lavender bath...

and an inviting luxurious bathrobe just waiting to hug you..

which you've just taken from inside this dreamy armoire....ooh-la-la

and then to cuddle in this endearing little spot...

Oh the absolute bliss of enjoying  a rainy Saturday morning

with such comforts...

Warming up...

Im beginning to...

look out the window at natures changes...

get a little melancholy now and then...

reach for my sweater more often...

turn up the heat a little...

make a hot comforting drink in the evening before bed...

grab a blanket when I watch a movie...

pull my comforter a little tighter when I get under the covers at night...

warm up my car before I leave for work at 5.45 in the morning...

light some candles after sunset...

think about setting out some autumn decor...

get ready for Thanksgiving (here in Canada its in October)

count my blessings...

I have so much to give thanks to God for...

Heres my cute road-side find that my hubby brought home for me recently!

I liked it instantly....it brought a smile to my heart to think that he'd be watching out for

something that I'd like

and I think I found the perfect spot for it!

And I think my wooden box found its new spot too..right on top of the new shabby table...

and that table was a free road-side find..

Not too shabby eh?  lol

My newest addition

This is my newest addition

a wooden box (I think it said Schneiders on it..lol)

that I found around the house

and decided it would look more attractive in turquoise..

with a kind of white-washed look

because I had first painted it white.

~

The netted starfish I've had around for a long time

and the white adirondack chair was sitting on my bedside table

but I found a new home for it with a sea-side shell to keep it company :)

I'm going to attempt to paint my living room "garage-sale find" shelves (my hunny found them 2 years ago and had them in the shed..I didnt even know!)

He put a bead-board backing on them because they're thick and so they'd hang onto the wall more securely..

Cant tell you how excited I am to have those ready and up!

Also, a dear friend of mine is giving me his pine corner unit (that belonged to his mother)

because he knows I loved it

and so I'm painting that white and am going to treasure it always

and the kind heart that is sending it my way :)

And I have to show off my new cup I bought at Chapters this summer

while we were vacationing!

It's called "I'm not a paper cup"

Its porcelain and it has a silicone lid on it.

This morning I have half coffee and half hot chocolate in it (a very favourite hot drink of mine)

I really love my cup..

and love that theres no handle on it

so it fits in my car cup-holder proudly..lol

But I use it around the house too..because it has a lid, its great to keep my drink hot while I carry it around with me while doing my chores.. :)

I've never really been a "refill" cup-lover until this.

They are available at Chapters book store (and gifts)

for about $22.00

It really looks like a paper cup though doesnt it?

My momma thought it was..the other day she asked me if I had just bought a coffee at "Twiggs"

which is a coffee shop that has paper coffee cups similar to this..

I had to giggle and tell her all about it!
