Cozy love

I'm knitting  up
 some cozy love
for my oldest son.
I've asked him over the last few years if he'd like a hat...mitts, scarf...
I always got a "no thanks mom, it's not cold enough here",
but last time I asked him if he'd like some socks and I got a "Yes"!
Smiles! :):):):)

Socks ...when I first started knitting I told myself that is one thing I would not attempt.
No..nada..never.
Well about a year or so ago, I saw a pair of womens' slouchy socks in a photo somewhere and swooned, loved,
gazed upon until I decided that I had to make those socks.
You'd think for my first try I'd at least try a simple pattern for a pair but no...lol
Anyway the first pair weren't that difficult, they just weren't
the beginner's easiest sock.
I finished them but I never did show you them
so here they are.
I took this photo this morning.
They are on my wooden sock shapers
and I'm telling you
these teal coloured socks are the coziest!
I have another pair on my needles for my daughter for Christmas
that I hoped to finish this past Christmas but because life and stuff happens
I wasn't able to complete them. But I have a good start on her first sock.
Hers are in a lovely shade of purple and they are quite pretty.
:)

I love this bowl!
We got it a few summers ago at a roadside garage sale down down south.
My husband literally pull off the highway for this little "out in the country" garage sale.
We bought a few things and this was one I'm sure that he purchased.
Last year at some point after seeing a wooden bowl being used as a yarn bowl, I saw this in a new light and
well ...now it's one of my yarn bowls.
I love it.
It was only 25 cents at that garage sale!
What a buy this turned out to be!
Can't wait for summer!

But spring must come first
and she is peeping her head in here where we live.
I can't believe how fast the snow is melting
as of late.
And with spring comes lots of birthdays in my family.

We celebrated my daughters birthday yesterday!
Cozy love xo
This is my younger son and my oldest son lives out of town
so he sent his love over the miles.

And me too...I'm sending my love to you too...
over the miles

P.S.  Puppies are due today!
I'm watching and waiting *expectantly.
lol....*pun intended.

All my heart,
Deborah xoxoxo
