Happy Saturday!!
Well here in Ontario we're in the heart of winter
and what better time than for settling in
and putting some yarn on our needles!
:)
I've been knitting for a few years
but still have lots to learn...
but I have to admit that making socks
was the one thing I said I'd never attempt.
Ever say "never"?
Lol
That was until I saw a pair of socks in a photo somewhere and
with wide-open jaw
said "I have to make those"!
They were a pair of beautiful slouch socks
and I made them
and have another pair for my daughter on my needles.
But....I am only part way through the second pair...a Christmas project
for next year.
After those I decided I'd like to try regular socks,
so I am keeping it going.
These are my just finished regular socks.
And I'm working on a pair for my son
(the blue-grey ones are his)
He likes socks with
a shorter leg length.
The first sock is complete and they fit him perfect!
Success!
Its a great pastime through the winter especially
and so relaxing.
I have a top on these needles!
So excited about this one too.
Its nice to have a few different projects on the go.
I bought three of these little project bags on sale
at my knitting class store.
So cute and so handy!
I'm truly glad that I ventured out
and decided to try making "socks"!
Its getting easier and its a great little project to have on the go.
So handy when you are sitting and waiting at an appointment,
you can just pull this out and away you go!
Lol
All my heart,
Deborah xo
