Weekending

Quiet breakfast with my hubby

before he heads off for a four hour drive

to watch the super-bowl with our sons,

on their tv and in their dear company...

For making some extra time

cooking and baking

in the heart of the home,

the kitchen

Extra moments in the morning

to enjoy "waking up naturally"

without the intrusion of my alarm clock...

Leisure-time for "fun" projects!

For the "gathering" with believers

and lovers of Christ

For hangin' out with my beautiful kids!

Live, laugh, love

On a winters' day in late January,

I'm reminded,

in the midst of some inspiring moments of creating beauty,

to  Live.

Yes..live....

live each moment,

as it is given me..to the fullest.

To see the little things

that are a part of our day

become  magnified

for the gifts that they really are.

Live...

moment by moment,

seeing His hands outstretched,

giving...

giving me these precious moments,

that I too, may give,

to others,

and in so many different ways.

Bring a ray of sunshine to someones heart

on an ordinary day,

by giving the gift of a  smile,

a  tender word,

a  courteous gesture,

a  gentle touch.

They don't cost anything

yet they are priceless.

This world has its difficult days,

but try to laugh

everyday.

It just feels so good ..

and it brings smiles too!

Ever try laughing without smiling...

I don't think its possible!

And while you're at it,

laugh  at yourself too.

It'll do you good

and it can be contagious.

But the greatest of these is

Weekends and joyful moments

Snow-packed back yards and black scottie romping all around

on a Sunday morning...

This is our sweetheart Milo :)

Have I ever mentioned how much we love him...

he's so unique!

He's our Charlie-chan walking,

word talking,

love to have tummy-rubbed,

little friend

in a clan of 5 happy terriers!

This is my,

"I'm ready to come in now Mom"  look.

I'm full of snow and have had enough for now!

Look at you Milo looking hopefully through the patio door

And sweet baby Maggie can't get enough of the running,

and playing,

and curiosity just fills her!

Remnants of autumn still visible here..

but honestly, I'm thinking more of spring

right about now!

She's a little ball of fun,

snow-dipped chin and all!

North Carolina was her birthplace

and now she's a northern Ontario little gal

Learning to do all her business

where it needs to be done..
