Garage-sale finds

This morning I actually asked my husband if he wanted to go garage sale-ing...
If you knew me well you'd know that I dont usually like to do this
my hubbys' usually the one to go alone
partly because Im generally working on Saturdays, and the other reason is
I'm just not that crazy about it
*
But today was different and I thought maybe..just maybe..I might actually find
something I'd like to use in the house
*
And I did!
*
The above photo is one of my first finds...
I actually got 2 of these mirrors...
2 of them for a total of $5.00
and my plans are to paint them..
one in white or a very light aqua..
and the other in black ..
both destined for different rooms
*
I cant wait to see the finished product!
*
This is an old fashioned make-up case and it is in excellent condition
I think Ill take it along with me on our holidays and use it for my shampoo, conditioner, etc..
*
but for any other time I've aleady got a use for it
take a peek below
*
Its become a planter
*
I loved this box
the shape, colours, and textures
its found its new home on my end table
*
Next, I couldnt resist
more shells...
one can never have enough sea-shells
*
And last but not least..
a warm winter coat..
so cuddly and quite gorgeous
*
At days end, I feel quite tickled
by my little garage-sale excursion today  :)
*
And am having a cozy late evening with my family
with some candlelight and snuggling
*

Have a cozy evening and a beautiful weekend my sweeties!

He loves me...He loves me lots!

This is a shot I captured a few days ago
while visiting my Mom & Dad
*
My Mom absolutely adores daisies (me too!)
and shes been waiting for just the right day
for me to photograph her beloved flowers
*
She even gave the fence a fresh coat of paint  :)
*
Shes keeping her eye on them everyday
and Im on standby until that day arrives...
*
But until then I took a shot the other day
and I love the look of the fence as these beauties
rise up to greet the sun
*
I expect it'll be any day now
and Im watching and waiting
to bring pleasure to my Momma
*
She's even making arrangements to have the special
photos she chooses
made into a canvas for her bedroom wall
*
Oh, and remember that old saying,
"He loves me, he loves me not"
that as children we used to play..
picking the petals from a daisy to find out if
our true love loved us or not?
*
Well how about "He loves me, He loves me lots"
Either way we win...   :)

Have a wonderful weekend my friends..
Gotta go for now...

she may call any time now....
:)
