Colour my World

Hello my friends!
Well I have to tell you that for about the last 2 weeks,
my world (at least in my computer monitor world)
was pretty bleak and without much colour
:(
I even had my son come on remote assistance
and try to look into my computer to see what the problem was.
He said that he couldnt find anything wrong with my actual computer.
I had a tint to my computer photos (Lime and purple)
and
I was so sad to look at
supposed-to-be pinks that were showing up as purple,
and no reds.
My computer is pretty new so I wasnt sure what the problem was...
either...my hubby accidentally touched something when he moved my monitor from one desk to another..
or....my monitor was acting up.
:(

Well yesterday I was out running an errand
and while I was in "Staples" to fax something,
a gentleman approached me while I was checking out the monitors.
He was extremely helpful
and gave me a few suggestions.
One of his suggestions was to look behind my monitor and check the two cords
which I did as soon as I returned home...
Guess what?!

I have colour again!!!
Beautiful, vibrant colour again!!

(My cords must have been a bit loose, because when I re-adjusted them......colour returned to me! :):):):):))

My pinks are pink again
and no longer purple!!!

Perfectly pink again!
Oh how I missed you!

Vibrant reds..
I missed you too!
Not until I lost you, did I realize how important you were!

I'll bet you never even noticed anything different..
your monitors were fine!
I was looking through my not-so-rose-coloured glasses (computer monitor)
and was longing for my colours to come back again!

I'm celebrating colour !!!!
:)

By the way..that adorable card is from The Lovely Anita

Vibrantly yours,

Gentle November Moments

Why not take some moments this month
just to relax a while,
grab one of your favourite magazines
and a hot cuppa hot chocolate
and curl up in a cozy spot

Take some quiet time for yourself
and go for a leisurely walk.
Bring a furry friend along and make his or her day,
and while you're at it,
smell the fragrances of autumn
and let gratefulness surface
for all the wonders in nature all around us

Find a place of solitude for Him and you..
and listen..
He will whisper,
and your heart will sense "home" again

Give the gift of your time
to the people that He lays upon your heart..
there will be a double-blessing

Before days end,
tell someone you love them,
better still,
wrap your arms and heart around them
and blanket them with
your love for them.
Linger long in the embrace.

All my love,
Deborah xoxo

Quiet Glimpses of Cottage-Time

This past weekend at the cottage
with my brother
~
Times of intimate sharing

Enjoying the sunshine
(all weekend it shone on us
:)

Snuggling on well-worn couches

Gazing into clear waters

Baking home-made cinnamon rolls
and yes,  eating too many of them

Feasting on crusty-bread made into grilled tomato and cheese snadwiches
and red pepper soup,
cups of hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks,
barbequed ribs, mashed potatoes and baked squash,
bacon and eggs..
mmmmm goodness!

Looking down-ward to an inviting dock
at waters edge

Beauty in normally
un-noticed  places

Extravagant beauty at days' end

The love & friendship of my precious brother..
a weekend filled with warm hugs, laughter & smiles
I love you so much David

All my love,
