Sweetheart weekend

My sweetheart and I are heading south for a weekend together..

We both work tomorrow and we're heading out right after...

I've been busy all day ..

baking..

Ginger molasses cookies and chocolate macaroon cookies to bring on our trip..

We're going to visit Caras brothers,

and I know they love the chocolate macaroons!

The egg salad is ready for sandwiches for Cara & I on the road

and I just finished putting together a fresh fruit salad with fruit dip..so yummy!!

My little girl loves fruit!!

Im planning on going to Ikea and check out their goodies... :)

and we'll shop, visit, maybe catch a movie and just have fun being together...

I love the journey because we get in some real momma/daughter chats and giggles! :)

Ill take some photos of our time together and Ill share with you when we come back

Loved the lingering...

This morning was so special...
My mornings usually begin at 4.45 a.m. on a "work" day...
but this morning I didnt have to go in until 9.00 a.m.
So I got to snooze a little longer...
and....
make breakfast for my hubby and me!!! (he got his brought up to him in bed)
I absolutely adore french toast sprinkled with icing sugar, and the fresh fruit was yummy too..
I could certainly get used to that shorter shift..
and I really loved the lingering this morning...
Just a simple joy but ....a joy to me...
