Hello everyone!!
Happy Friday to you!!
Any plans for the weekend?
Holiday-ing?
Just planning to relax?
Well whatever you do, I hope you have a great time!
~
Last weekend was our long weekend here in Canada.
I went to visit and spend some quality time with our oldest son.
I had 4 full days with him and I treasured every moment with him!
I had the best time ever!
There's something so precious about a mother and son relationship...
wouldn't you agree?
They hold a place in your heart forever.
Even though they are grown;
I still long for their company like I did when they were little.
We spent an evening and one night sleepover in the
beautiful
Niagara Falls!
It was a gorgeous afternoon, and evening there..
perfect weather too!
The falls are breath-taking.
From every angle the view is spectacular.
This little beauty thinks so too!
:)
When I look across from Canada,
I think of many of "you" on the American side...
and my heart is warmed by the friendships we share.
We took this railway car from the bottom to the top
instead of walking, to get us onto the street above.
My son would have walked...I insisted we travel on this...lol
But first he bought us ice-cream cones!
Yummy!
I picked "chocolate-chip cookie dough" for me!
One of my favourites!
And you know, my son can never seem to get used
to me taking so many photos!
This was one of his ways of trying to say... "enough Mom"!
Lol
Did it stop me...well, maybe just for a bit.
Only a blogger can understand the things bloggers do!
:)
This was our view as we went up the railway..
it was grand until he said, "do you know what would happen if this rail-car
snapped ...well that's more like something I would think of,
so it was out of character for him..lol
I didn't give it more than a two second thought,
but was relieved when we got off safely at the top.
:)
I enjoyed the fresh "blooms"
all around us.
It was quite warm but not uncomfortable.
Tulips!!
Love, love, love!
Our hotel room was g o r g e o u s!
The bathroom was all w h i t e!!!
And of course...
me snapping photos of all this beauty...both indoors
and outdoors!
;)
Such white loveliness!
We traveled together,
dined together,
laughed,
shared deeply from the heart...
My son takes such good care of me..
my heart knows that well.
:)
He even went the distance to take me to my beloved St. Jacobs
\0/
I love this St. Jacobs Country
to the depths of my heart!
We had lunch at the Farmers Market
and browsed.
Fresh fruit anyone?
:)
We had peaches n' cream corn on the cob,
and barbecued chicken for supper!
And I mustn't forget...
Starbucks is always a treat!
Mint chocolate-chip frappachino!
The hardest part...
is always the.... leaving;
I do get emotional....
but my heart is filled with more precious memories
with my son.
He's more than my son;
he's my constant friend...
and I love him...
with all my heart.
Thank you for sharing
a visit
with him and I
Much love,
Deborah xoxoxoxo
I'll be back soon to show you some blooms!
:)
