Weekending, farmers market and happiness

Hi everyone!!
Are you still enjoying summer?!
Although we've had so much rain,
"summer" I want you to know that I'm
not giving up on you this soon!
There....I said it! Lol

Last weekend I went to visit my sweeties down south,
and while we were there,
my oldest son Adam took me to my most favourite
"Farmer's Market" in my beloved  St. Jacob's.
They have rebuilt somewhat since a fire there last year,
and....I noticed that they are rebuilding even more!
It will be so cute!!!
A must go for me next summer!
Of course, there would never be any arm twisting to get me to go!

We ate a yummy lunch there...their pizzas are always so good.
Hot out of the oven and made fresh right on the spot.
We sat on a picnic table beside a man and his friend. :)
So cute! Since I don't care for pepperoni,
I was able to share with this darling
(with his owner's permission of course) :)
He was so grateful for the treat!

And then the oh-so-patient wait in line for fresh apple fritters!
These are the only apple fritters I would stand in line for!
Thank you Adam for your patience hunny!
Yum!

Of course I did not resist these lovely roses
from the market either.
So pretty...they are almost ready for hanging now.
I've enjoyed them all week in my big pickle jar!

Three of our boys play on the same baseball team
and I was able to enjoy them playing !

And then bbq-ing afterwards!

Such a fun family-filled weekend
filled with the simple joys of  "hanging out together".

Oh and I have been looking for a "hank" winder,
and was thinking I wouldn't get to knit on the weekend.
In those quiet moments, it's so nice to pick up my needles while unwinding (pun intended! lol )
In desperation I googled how to wind one by hand.
Hmmm...I found a video of a girl winding it manually by placing the hank around her neck, and another one who did it manually by placing
it around her knees.
I tried both but decided the knee wrapping worked better.
I am so proud to say it worked,
even more beautifully than I could have imagined!
I love my manually wound ball of yarn.
(even more so than winding them by the wooden winders!)
Who would have thought?!
I'm going to call it my "organic wound ball of yarn"!
Ha!

Love to you all!
Have a great weekend with lots of love & fun!

All my heart,
Deborah xoxoxoox
